CODE OF CONDUCT

STAINES ALBION YOUTH F C support the Football Association’s football education programme and would like All Players, Officials and Supporters to have respect for Youth Football and all those involved in it.

PLAYERS

Play within the Laws of the Game
Behave honestly
Accept Managers/Coaches decisions
Respect Opponents/Referees
Encourage Team Mates
No Swearing or Spitting
No retaliation or fighting
Do not argue with Referees
No racial abuse

COACHES/MANAGERS

Support, encourage and praise players
Set a good example
Be impartial
Comply with League/FA/Club Rules
Make football enjoyable
Do not attempt to win at all costs
Do not try to cheat or try to deceive referees
Respect Referees decision
No racial abuse
Follow Child Protection procedures as set out by FA

PARENTS/SUPPORTERS

Support, encourage and praise players

Child Protection


CHILD PROTECTION OFFICER: Mrs Val erie Howes




The implementation of a Child Protection Policy at Staines Albion is essential to ensure the safety and protection of its Members.

At Staines Albion we strictly adhere to and abide by the F.A. Child Protection Policy structure and guidelines. A copy of which is kept at Staines Albion and can also be accessed through the F.A. Website: www.thefa.com

~ All Team Management shall be prepared to be CRB checked when joining Staines Albion. This procedure will incur a small fee which will be bourn by Staines Albion.

~ Under no circumstances should any Team Manager or Club Official accompany a child alone when being treated for injury or changing for matches or travelling to and from matches. Any treatment for injuries in an off the field situation must be carried out under close supervision with either the childs parent of second Club official present.

~ Any cause for complaint should be reported to a Club Official and shall be referred to the F.A for investigation.

STAINES ALBION F C

CLUB RULES/CONSTITUTION

 OBJECTIVES:

 Staines Albion is a totally voluntary run, non-profit making organisation. Any funds raised shall be used solely to the benefit of Club Members and for no individual’s personal gain. 

The object of the club shall be to arrange association football matches and social activities for its members.

 

COMMITTEE/OFFICIALS:

a)It is the responsibility of the Club Chairman,Vice Chairman, Club Secretary and Club Treasurer, constituting the Club Committee, to make decisions as to the running of Staines Albion.

b)Each Club officer/Club Committee Member shall hold office from the date of appointment until the next Annual General Meeting unless otherwise resolved at a Special General Meeting.

c)One person may hold no more than two positions of Club Officer at any time. Decisions of the Club Committee shall be made by a simple majority of those attending the Club Committee meeting. The Club Chairman shall have the casting vote in the event of a tie.

d)Meetings of the Club Committee shall be chaired by the chairman, and in Chairmans absence by Committee Member delegated for that individual meeting.

e)Decisions of the Club shall be entered into the minutes book of the Club and shall be maintained by the Club Secretary.

f)Club meetings will be held bi-monthly, or not less than 4 times annually.

g)An out-going member of the Club Committee may be re-elected. Any vacancy on the Club Committee which arises between AGM shall be filled by a member proposed by one and seconded  by another of the remaining Club Committee Members and approved by a simple majority of the remaining Club Committee Members.

h)The Club Committee shall have the power to decide all questions and disputes arising in respect of any issue concerning the Club Rules.

 

CLUB MEMBERSHIP:

a)The Club Secretary shall keep and maintain a register of Members of the Club.

2)Any person who wishes to be a Member must apply on the Membership Application Form and election to membership shall be at the sole discretion of the Club Committee. Membership shall become effective upon an applicants name being entered in the Membership Register.

In the event of a Member resignation or expulsion his or her name will be removed from the Membership Register.

 

ANNUAL MEMBERSHIP FEE:

a)Annual Membership fee payable by each member shall be determined from time to time by the Club Committee. Any fee shall be payable on a successful application for membership and annually by each member. Fees shall not be repayable.

2)The Club Committee shall have the authority to levy further subscriptions from the members as are reasonable necessary to fulfil the objectives of the club.


RESIGNATION OR EXPULSION:

a)A Member shall cease to be a Member of the Club if, and from the date of which, he/she gives notice to the Club Committee of their resignation.

b) A member who’s  annual Membership fee or further subscriptions is more than 2 months shall be deemed as resigned.

c) The Club Committee shall have the power to expel a member when, in their opinion, it would not be in the interests of the Club for them to remain a member. There shall be no appeal procedures.

d) A Member who resigns or is expelled shall not be entitled to claim any, or any share of any, of the Club property. 

ANNUAL and SPECIAL GENERAL MEETING

a)An AGM shall be held each year.

-          report of the activities of the Club over the previous year

-          report of the clubs finances over the previous year

-          elect members of the Club Committee

-          consider any other business

b) Nominations for election of members as Club Officers or as members of the Club Committee shall be made in writing by the proposer and seconder, both of whom must be existing members of the Club to the Club Secretary not less than 14 days before the AGM. Notice of any resolution to be proposed at the AGM shall be given in writing to the Club Secretary not less than 14 days before the meeting. Any questions to the committee shall be given in writing not les than 14 days before the meeting.

c) A Special General Meeting may be called within 21 days of receipt by the Club Secretary of a request in writing, signed by not less than 5 members stating the purposes for which the meting is required and the resolutions proposed. Business at an SGM may be any business that may be transacted at an AGM.

d) The Secretary will send in writing al letter to each member at their last known address or by email the date of the General Meeting together with resolutions to be proposed at least 14 days before the meeting.

e) The Chairman, or in their absence, a member selected by the Club Committee shall take the chair, Each member present shall have one vote and resolutions shall be passed by a simple majority. In the event of equal votes, the Chairperson shall have the casting vote.

f) The Club Secretary, or in their absence, a member of the Club Committee shall enter the Minutes of the General Meeting into the Club Minute book.

 

CLUB TEAMS:

 The Club Committee shall appoint a Club Member to be responsible for each of the Clubs football teams, who will be responsible for managing the affairs of the team. The Team Manager will report to the Club Committee the activities of the team at each Managers Meeting held bi-monthly (or not less than 4 times annually).

No Club Official/Team Manager or individual Club member should expect to achieve any personal gain financially.

Each individual team income, including registration fees, monthly subscriptions incl.  training and match fees  shall be collected by each individual Team Manager and be handed into the Club Treasurer twice seasonally, making payment during the first month of each season half ie September and Jan.. Monthly income/expenditure form should be used by each Team Manager.

Any expenditure to be claimed must be receipted and attached to the Monthly income/expenditure form.

 

CLUB FINANCES:

 a) A bank account shall be opened and maintained in the name of the Club (the Club Account)  The Club Treasurer shall be account signatory. All monies received by the Club shall be received by the Club Treasurer and deposited in the Club Account.

b) The income and assets of the Club shall be applied only in the furtherance of the objects of the Club.

c) The Club Committee shall have the power to authorise the payment of remuneration and expenses to any club member and to any other person or services rendered to the Club.

d) The Club shall prepare an annual financial statement and send to the Football Association they are affiliated to.

e) The Club property, including the Club Account, shall be vested in not less that two and no more than four custodians, one of whom shall be the Treasurer. Decisions re Club property shall be directed by  the club Committee shall be entered into the Club Minute book and shall be evidence of such a decision.

f) Custodians shall be appointed by the Club in a General Meeting and shall hold office until death or resignation unless removed by a resolution passed at a General Meeting.

g) On their removal or resignation a custodian shall execute a Conveyance in such form as is published by the Football Association from time to time to a newly elected custodian or the existing custodians as directed by the Club Committee. On the death of a custodian and Club property vested in them shall vest automatically in the surviving custodian/s. If there is only one surviving custodian, a Special General meeting shall be convened as soon as possible to appoint another custodian.

h) The custodians shall be entitled to an indemnity out of the Club Property for all expenses and other liabilities reasonably incurred by them in carrying out their duties.

DISSOLUTION:

 a) A resolution to dissolve the Club shall only be proposed at a General Meeting .

b) The dissolution shall take effect from the date of the resolution and the members of the Club Committee shall be responsible for the winding up of the assets and liabilities of the Club.

c) Surplus assets remaining after the discharge of the debts and liabilities of the Club shall be disposed of in such  manner as the Club committee decide.

 

DISCIPLINERY PROCEDURES:

a)The Club is responsible for the actions/behaviour of its officials, players and supporters.

b)All Members of Staines Albion shall strictly adhere to the Club Code of Conduct.

c)A disciplinery committee consisting of Chairman, Vice Chairman, Club Secretary and selected Team Managers shall deal with matters of a disciplinery nature within Staines Albion.

Some matters may be required to be referred to Affilliated Football Association.
